The Sudraker oil skimmer range essentially consists of one highly proven and tested design with options to suit customer requirements. The units are specifically designed and built by Tanky Systems to cope with harsh washing and plating plant environments.

Corrosion free, with an ergonomic design and easy to clean layout, the Sudraker units are the logical choice for manufacturing environments needing to keep their down-time to a minimum. All wetted parts are of stailless steel and chemical resistant polymer construction.

Belts do not require a weight or tensioning device and thereby reduce strain on the skimmer motor.

The rear-exit, easy-clean trough option is betters suited to applications where thicker oils or foams are being skimmed, that would ordinarily block a hose. The trough can hang directly over a container, and can be easily scraped clean if the skimmed oils congeal on the trough base.

The hose-tail option is better suited to applications where thinner oils are being skimmed. A 1" hose can be connected to the skimmer to route oils straight into the neck of an oil drum or other suitable receptacle.

The Sudraker III is built to the same standard as the Sudraker II, but sports 2 belts to facilitate greater oil removal. This unit will remove approximately 3.5 liters of oil per hour.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it remove enough oil?

The Sudraker II will remove up to 2 litres of oil per hour and the Sudraker III will remove up to 3.5 litres of oil per hour. The units are designed to run 24 hours per day so will keep working when your equipment is not.

If your application requires more oil removal than this, ask about our modular boomraker system.

Will it remove oils emulsified in the solution?

Not very efficiently. The Sudraker is designed to remove free oils from the surface of the solution. It is therefore advisable to let the solution to settle from time to time to allow the emulsified oils to separate and float. If this is impracticable ask about our Lube-tube separator system.

How often will I have to change belts?

It is unlikely that you will ever need to change the belt on the skimmer, the materials used are highly chemical resistant and are not subjected to fatigue in the way that conventional skimmer belts are.

The belts can suffer slightly from surface wear in applications where hard gritty particles are present in the solution, but should still give extremely good service life and all of our oil skimmer belts benefit from a 5 Year warranty.
